My North Star
I believe life is a series of experiences, and then you die.
Consciousness, the ability to experience, is a fleeting and rare opportunity in an otherwise chaotic, uncaring universe.
It would be a shame to waste that opportunity.
Optimise for experiences.
This is the North Star guiding my life.
Put mathematically: my life equals the sum of my own experiences from birth to death, times my contribution to improving the experiences of others.
All worthwhile pursuits improve the human condition in one way or another.
Life Mid-Capitalism
Current Seven Year Cycle
I moved to America in 2026 with two specific goals.
1) Make a bag that gets me to my number, the point at which I consider myself financially free and post-capitalist.
2) Find a wife.
Life Post-Capitalism
Once I hit that number, my goals are then:
Become a world citizen based in Sydney, Australia (the best city on the planet).
Finish visiting every country.
Become a great dad.
Work on effective tech enabled philanthropy.
